WORKSHOP ON PREPARATION OF LESSON PLAN ON 02/11/2024

With reference to the letter received from KVS RO Hyderabad, dated 28/10/2024,a workshop on LESSON PLAN was conducted by the Headmistress Mrs.V SAI PADMA to the Primary Teachers.The teachers were appraised about the lesson plan according to NEP 2020 and how to write lesson plan.Here are some instuctions to the teachers
 l. Lesson Plans prepared by some teachers are not aiigned with the NEP 2O2O recommended pedagory, which emphasizes art-integrated, competency-based, sports-integrated and joyful learning.
 2. Classroom transactions are often delinked from the lesson plal prepared by some teachers
 3. Some teachers did not adopt the assessment and feedback methods outlined in their lesson plans
 4. In cases where learning outcomes have not been achieved, remedial interventions have not been undertaken by some teachers.
 5. Interdisciplinary approach has not been followed as expected by some teachers. 
6. inclusive practices havenot been consistently adopted by teachers, despite clear guidelines in the CBSE Curiculum documents. 
7. Some teachers did not prepare the Lesson Plans of their subjects as noticed during the interaction with teachers. Hence, all the Principals are requested to comply with the following instructions for preparation of Lesson Plans by teachers: 

WORKSHOP ON ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION AND KVS EXAMINATION STURCTURE ON 06/07/2024

With reference to the letter received from KVS RO Hyderabad, dated 04.07.2024, a workshop on Criteria of Assessment and Evaluation was conducted by the Headmistress to the Primary Teachers. The teachers were appraised about the examination structure and how to upload the marks in S2S software.

INDUCTION COURSE FOR NEWLY RECRUITED PRIMARY TEACHERS

19/07/2024 AND 20/07/2024(ONLINE MODE)

VENUE : PM SHRI KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA TIRUMALAGIRI

The second spell of Induction Course for the newly recruited primary teachers to familiarize them with KVS culture and to build their capacity was conducted in online mode from 19/07/2024 to 20/07/2024 at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Tirumalagiri. Since the on screen session should be complimented with group work that needs to be done off line, all the participants are asked to report to their respective schools and join the online session from their school.
The first day of the course started with a formal inauguration where in the course director Shri K. Chandra Sekhar briefed the participants about the course design and the expectations from the participants.
The sessions on Communication skills , CPD Guidelines and ICT tools were both interactive and informative. The participants thoroughly understood the key elements of Gender Sensitivity and POSH act through the session conducted by G.A. Narsimham, Retired Assistant Commissioner, KVS, RO, Mumbai Region. They also received inputs about Raj Bhasha Implementation through a session by Shri. K. Kumara Swamy, PGT (Hindi ) (retired) of KV Tirumalagiri. The participants presented their work on various topics taken up in the offline mode like MDP, STP, Lesson Plan, Rubrics of Assessment and question papers.
Their work show cased the essence of the course and portrayed the achievement of its objectives. We can say that the participants were sufficiently oriented during the course so that they are smoothly inducted into the system of KVS.


INDUCTION COURSE FOR THE NEWLY APPOINTED PRIMARY TEACHERS (22/06/2024 TO 26/06/2024)

Teachers' Capacity Building - Continuous Professional Development Workshop

The induction course for Primary Teachers started on 22/06/2024 with the inaugural function. In his inaugural address, Shri T. Prabhudas, Assistant Commissioner, KVS, Hyderabad Region sufficiently motivated the participants to do their best and facilitate joyful learning of the students. Many interactive sessions were conducted during the five day course as per the timetable framed by ZIET, Bhubaneshwar.

There were sessions on the latest developments in the field of education in the light of NEP 2020 like NCF FS, NCF SE, NIPUN, FLN, etc. The strategies to integrate games, toys, puppets, art and music into classroom teaching and learning were also discussed. The new teachers were given insight about the flagship programmes of KVS, Teachers’ code of conduct, POCSO and child rights and teachers’ leave rules and claims. Working knowledge of the important events of primary section such as Fun day, CMP, Morning Assembly was imparted in the course. Teachers were involved in making LTM under Jadui Pitara and the exhibition of the same was held on the last day of the course.

The participants were sufficiently oriented in the course so that they are smoothly inducted into the system of KVS. The same was expressed by them during the valedictory function attended by Shri. G. Rama Rao, AC(Retd), KVS Mumbai region.

ORIGAMI - JOYFUL LEARNING
A workshop on Origami for joyful learning was conducted in the Vidyalaya as a part of continuous professional development for the primary teachers on 28/03/2024. Mr. T. Ravi Kumar, TGT WE of the Vidyalaya, who is an expert in origami and a recipient of National Award for his exemplary contribution for the cause of education, was the resource person for the workshop. 
The teachers actively participated in the workshop and learnt to make many items of pedagogical value through paper folding. 













Orientation and Capacity Building Programme for Primary Teachers on 

INCLUSIVE PRACTICES AND GENDER EQUITY on10/01/2023

As a part of PM SHRI activities, orientation and capacity building program for primary teachers on inclusive practices and gender equity was conducted at PM SHRI KV Tirumalagiri on 10/01/2023.  Prof. Ambady K.G. from NIEPID, who is working on developing a package for differentiated instruction that brings out significant changes in the academic achievement of students with intellectual disabilities studying in an inclusive education system, has oriented the primary teachers on inclusion and equity in the classrooms. 










One day orientation for the newly recruited primary teachers of Hyderabad Region -06/01/2024

One day orientation for the newly recruited primary teachers of Hyderabad Region was conducted on 06/01/2024 at PM SHRI KV Tirumalagiri. Around 285 teachers from the state of Telangana received inputs from the orientation course that would help them to perform to the best of their capabilities in their respective schools. Dr. D. Manjunath, Deputy Commissioner, KVS, RO Hyderabad has formally inaugurated the workshop and motivated the teachers to be the role models for the young students.









Webinar on: “Story-telling as a Pedagogy for Foundational Stage” under the MoU between NCERT and National Agency of Education (EDUFI) and GINTL, Finland 24.11.2023 

A one day online workshop on story-telling as a Pedagogy for Foundational Stage was conducted on 24.11.2023 from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm in the vidyalaya premises. 




One day Workshop for parents on Right To Education Act & Learning Outcomes 18/11/2023

As a part of PM SHRI Initiatives ,on 18/11/2023  a one day workshop was conducted for the parents of Classes I - VIII on Right To Education Act & Learning Outcomes at Kalamandir, PM SHRI KV Tirumalagiri.











One day Workshop on NCF for Foundational Stage, New Textbooks & Action Research 07/11/2023

On 07/11/2023, One day Workshop was conducted on NCF for Foundational Stage for Primary Teachers in the vidyalaya premises. 
This workshop focused on National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage, New Textbooks by NCERT. The teachers worked to prepare Teachers' Handbook for all the New Textbooks. 
They were also given inputs as to how to take up Action Research. 




Workshop on G20 Presidency, NEP 2020 & FLN 15/06/2023

Ministry of Education in partnership with all States & UTs is organizing Janbhagidari events throughout the country to create awareness & generate a sense of pride among various stakeholders like students, teachers, parents & community as a whole, about G-20, National Education Policy & FLN. 

In this context, a number of activities including workshops, exhibitions, seminars and conferences have been planned from 1st to15th June, 2023. 

Around 100 teachers of KV's and neighbouring schools, parents, members of SMC & PTA have participated in this workshop.


"AWAKENING" - A value education program for Primary students
Awakening is a value Education Program for Primary School Children. It was launched by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Minister of Education and Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India on 15th September, 2022 in Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi.

Facilitators' Development Workshop for Teachers was conducted on 09th Dec 2022 in the vidyalaya premises organized by Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi.
The resource persons Mrs. Vrindha & Ms. Bharani have interacted with the teachers and conducted sessions.

The purpose of the workshop is to give an overview of the Awakening Program, details of Teachers’ Training Workshops and implementation of the program in schools.



Filmshow regarding Awareness on Child Sexual Abuse

Produced by CHILDLINE India, this child friendly film educates children on the concept of safe and unsafe touch. It also teaches children how to protect themselves and how to seek help from adults if ever caught in a situation where they are threatened by unsafe touch. 



 "Our hands, our future!" 

Global Hand wash Day 2022 was observed at Kendriya Vidyalaya Tirumalagiri on 15th October 2022 by Mrs. K Umavathi

Global Hand washing Day (GHD) is an international hand washing promotion campaign to motivate and mobilise people around the world to improve their hand washing habits. Washing hands at critical points during the day and washing with soap are both important.

WORKSHOP ON FLN MODULES

Foundational Literacy and Numeracy, an essential thrust area of NEP 2020 is to be attained by 2025 by the time the child completes Class III. Modules are prepared at the regional level that would help the teachers in this direction. A workshop on the contents of the modules and how to use them to attain FLN were demonstrated by Mrs. Jyotsna Rani and Mr. T. Srinivas on 30/06/2022. 
These two teachers and Mrs. Pushpa Tripathy and Mrs. Tanushree Mishra along with Headmistress Mrs Sai Padma are involved in making of the modules at the regional level.

The Principal and the Headmistress attended regional level workshop on STP. The significance of STP and the way it should be written is conveyed to all the teachers by the HM and the subject coordinators on 12/04/2021.


 


FOUNDATIONAL LITERACY AND NUMERACY WORKSHOP - VIDYALAYA LEVEL


The Vidyalaya level Numeracy workshop was conducted by the trained teachers Mrs. Vimala Rao and Ms. Heena on 27/07/2021 and 28/07/2021 and the required orientation was provided to all the primary teachers of the Vidyalaya.
