About the School
One of the first schools
to be taken over by The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Kendriya Vidyalaya
Tirumalagiri was established in the year 1963. Spread in a sprawling area of 15
acres, the Vidyalaya has three separate blocks for Primary, Secondary, and Senior
Secondary with a football court, a volleyball court, an athletic track,
Multipurpose Hall and two large playgrounds.
The primary section
of Kendriya Vidyalaya Tirumalagiri
has around 1200 students studying in Classes I- V. Each class has five sections
which amount to 25 classes in primary section. The primary block has
well-ventilated, spacious class rooms, a separate Morning Assembly ground and
playground. One section in each class has interactive board making it a smart
classroom. Apart from these there is also well equipped computer lab, Activity
room, Music Room, Sports room, Primary Library and Resource room.
The building accommodates the needs of the
differently- abled students and stands as a towering representation of
inclusive education.
The primary section has a separate computer
instructor taking up ICT education from Class III. Music is taught to all
classes from I – V by a regular music teacher. The primary staff includes
Headmistress and thirty primary teachers who cater to the educational needs of
the primary students.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan lays a
special impetus on its primary education since it forms the foundation for all
the educational endeavors of the students. All the flagship projects of KVS
like CMP, Back to Basics, LAT and SLATE are followed in letter and spirit by
the students and the teachers of the Vidyalaya.
