GRANDPARENTS' DAY 2024-25
Grandparents’ Day is celebrated with lot of enthusiasm and joy
at PM SHRI KV Tirumalagiri on 25/01/25. Grandparents, who were invited for the
event well in advance turned up to the celebrations in great numbers.
They were received cordially by the teaching fraternity and
their very loving grandchildren. The programme started with the ceremonial lighting
of the lamp. The senior retired teachers of the Vidyalaya who were grandparents
themselves also graced the occasion.
In her welcome address, Smt. B. Sree Lakshmi, Principal In
charge, has stressed the need to care and respect the grandparents. This was followed
by Yoga for well-being by Smt. V. Jyotsna Rani, primary teacher of the
Vidyalaya. The grandparents thoroughly enjoyed the colourful cultural programme
presented in their honour.
The Headmistress, Mrs. V. Sai Padma has requested the grandparents
to play a prominent role in the emotional development of their grandchildren.
In his address, the chief guest Shri. K. Kumara Swamy,
retired teacher of KVS has stressed the need for the grandparents to focus on
the all-round development of their grandchildren.
The grandparents actively participated in the various games organized for them and had a memorable day for themselves.

Despite the pandemic situation, KV Tirumalagiri had successfully conducted Grandparents' Day in the virtual mode on 15/1/2021 with lots of enthusiasm and interest. The primary students made greeting cards and handed them over to their grandparents. The video of the students with their grandparents was shared in the virtual meeting. The In charge Principal Mrs. Mithravinda Rao has formally welcomed the grandparents and appreciated their role in moulding the personality of the tiny tots in general and the present COVID-19 scenario in particular. The students entertained the grandparents by their music, dance and speeches. The senior citizens expressed their happiness and promised to extend their support to the school in shaping their grandkids in to vibrant citizens and good human beings.
