EDUCATIONAL TOURS, FIELD TRIPS & EXCURSIONS

FIELD VISIT TO CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE, DEPARTMENT OF HORTICULUTURE, GOVERNMENT OF TELANGANA, MULUGU, SIDDIPET DISTRICT

Field Visit is an essential practical component PM SHRI program wherein students from classes I to V are exposed to Agriculture Universities & institutions, Gardens, parks, Farms, Nutritional Gardens etc. It develops a sense of community and the importance of working together towards a common goal such as harvesting a certain crop, growing a vegetable garden or raising livestock. They learn to collaborate with different stakeholders while picking up social skills such as communication, teamwork and leadership. 

The students of classes IV and V are taken on a field visit to Centre of excellence, Department of Horticulture, Government of Telangana situatued in Mulugu, Siddipet district. 

 The trip involves activities like visit to Hitech Nursery, Agro forestry and Fruit Nursery. The students will participate in Vegetable Cultivation and Transplantation at the centre.

The Centre works with the following objectives:
  1. Production of high quality fruit crops planting material for distribution to farmers.

  2. Establishing intensive crop cultivation site by demonstrating the latest production technologies.

  3. To demonstrate production of high quality fruits & varieties aimed for both national and international markets year around.

  4. To make horticulture a profitable, diversified farm activity in increasing income of the farmers by achieving potential productivity through sustained and advanced technologies.

  5. To create awareness on new technologies through demonstrations on crops like Mango, Citrus, Guava and Pomegranate.

  6. Introduction of New Crops and Cultivars and suggesting varieties suitable to the local conditions which will help in extending fruiting period and niche in domestic and export market, along with solving some of the problems related to root stocks. 







FIELD VISIT TO NEHRU ZOOLOGICAL PARK

Field Visit is an essential practical component PM SHRI program wherein students from classes I to V are exposed to Agriculture Universities & institutions, Gardens, parks, Farms, Nutritional Gardens etc. It develops a sense of community and the importance of working together towards a common goal such as harvesting a certain crop, growing a vegetable garden or raising livestock. They learn to collaborate with different stakeholders while picking up social skills such as communication, teamwork and leadership. 

The children of classes 1&2 were taken  to Nehru Zoological park as a part of field visits under PM Shri Program on 30/11/2024.The purpose of the visit was to learn more about animals, their habitats,and the importance of wild life conservation.
Children boarded the buses from the school with lot of enthusiasm and interst. they were those little environmentalists who are all set to discover the beautiful flora and fawna around us.
Children enjoyed the toy train ride which covered the maximum part of the zoo. They learnt important lessons:
*Animals are beautiful and need to be protected.
*Zoos are not just for entertainment, but they help to conserve endangered species. It is important to respect nature and wildlife.
*Children learn about animals, their behaviour and the efforts needed to protect them.












FIELD TRIP TO BM BIRLA PLANETARIUM AND MUSEUM
The students of Class V were taken an exposure trip - BM Birla Planetarium and Museum on 22nd and 23rd of March. The students explored fantastic outer space with Stars, Planet and Galaxies.. They also had hands on experience of various Science related exhibits in the Museum.

FIELD TRIP TO GURUDWARA
The students of Class IV are taken on field visit to MCEME - Gurudwara to have  exposure of how people cook and eat together in a Gurudwara. The students enjoyed the serene atmosphere of the place, prayed at the Sanctum sanctorum, understood the principles of Sikhism and saw the kitchen and the dining hall for Langar. They had the divine blessings  through Khada Prasad. This is trip is a part of their EVS lesson Food and Fun with a value of living and eating together.








Educational Tour to Rashtrapati Nilayam

The primary students of the vidyalaya were taken a tour to Rashtrapati Nilayam on 24/06/2023.
It was a perfect educational as well as fun outing for children as there is much to learn and experience from the tour.

Children enjoyed lush greenery parks, beautiful flowers, tunnel, and Rashtrapati Nilayam building. They took a tour of the ancient building - a glimpse inside the residence of the president of India.

They visited Knowledge Gallery and took some pictures with the Buggy and the President's Limousine, which are on exhibit, in the courtyard of the Knowledge Gallery.

They witnessed Kitchen Tunnel, Nakshatra Garden, the Rock Garden, the Herbal Garden, and the Butterfly Garden.

Students had fun time at Maze Gardens, Musical Fountain, and Children's Park

Class Picnic - Virtual Tour to Zoological Park

The primary students of the vidyalaya are taken on a virtual tour to zoological park as per the following schedule.

1. Classes I & II - 08/09/2021

2. Classes III to V - 09/09/2021


The children were shown the videos of the different animals kept in the zoo parks of Hyderabad & Mysuru.

Children had a joyful learning tour virtually.
